Should I get a double bass pedal?
Double Pedal is rarely a necessity unless you’re playing the extreme forms of metal. Still, if you ever hear tasteful use of double bass playing it can make you want to get one.
Do Roland noise eaters work?
After some testing I can confirm that the noise eaters were able to dampen the thump heard downstairs. Roland claims to reduce the noise by 75%, but in my experience it was not this big of a change. I would say it will help reduce the thump up to 50%. The noise eaters do not wobble as much as I imagined.
How do double kick pedals work?
In order to play “doubles” on the pedal, drummers can employ 3 main techniques: slide, swivel, or heel-toe. In the slide technique, the pedal is struck around the middle area with the ball of the foot. As the drum produces a sound, the toe is slid up the pedal.
How do you adjust the angle on a bass drum?
Adjust the angle of the beater by loosening the beater angle cam adjustment square or Allen key bolt (fig 2) then tighten it back up. It’s best to make fine adjustments as too much adjustment either way will prevent the beater from striking the head.
